Over recent years the role of religious institutions in Ireland has come under scrutiny and distrust as we experience what many refer to as a post religious society.
One in which organised religion and faith communities are experiencing a decline in membership and attendance as the relevance of religious faith is increasingly challenged.
The Galway Mosque/Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will be holding a major National Interfaith Conference at the Galway Maryam Mosque, Ballybrit, Galway on November 19.
The theme of the conference will be on how religious faith can play a positive role in Irish society.
Speakers from several faith communities as well as Mayoral, TDs and Councillors will be in attendance.
