ATU to host open day at Galway city campus this weekend

Atlantic Technological University (ATU ) Galway city is hosting an open day this Saturday, November 5, from 10am to 10pm, for secondary school students, parents, teachers and mature applicants, highlighting the range of courses on offer across the university and information about student life and study.

Staff and students will be available to answer questions on all courses in Galway and Mayo in the areas of agriculture, built environment, business, computing, creative arts and media, culinary arts, hospitality and event PR, engineering, furniture design, making and technology, heritage, tourism, nursing, health sciences and social care, outdoor education, science, and teacher education.

Information on programmes in ATU’s campuses in Sligo and Donegal will also be available.

The open day schedule includes talks on the CAO application process; Access options from the Disability and Learning Support Service and Access and Participation Office; introductory sessions for all ATU Galway and Mayo Schools (faculty ) and campuses; along with student finance and supports. Members of the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI ) team will also be present on the day to offer advice and support to students and their families on their application process.

Students can also book a free consultation with the ATU Careers Office to get advice on CAO choices and future job possibilities.

There will be regular tours of the campus and the facilities by ATU's student ambassadors that will give a flavour of what it is like to be a student on programmes in ATU. There will also be a special culinary masterclass not to be missed from ATU culinary graduate, Louise Robbie @Littleloucooks providing a family focused cooking demonstration.
