University of Galway's autumn postgraduate open day takes place on Tuesday November 8 from 12 noon to 3pm in the Bailey Allen Hall. The open day will have a strong focus on the affordability of postgraduate studies and the multiple funding and scholarship opportunities that future students should explore when considering investing in their education and career.
There will be a number of talks including a panel discussion on career pathways post-graduation, grant opportunities, postgraduate funding and the application process. The talks will also include a presentation on the Hardiman PhD Scholarship Scheme and ‘Postgraduate Application Tips and How to Write an Effective Personal Statement’ presented by staff from the Career Development Centre and the Admissions Office. The on-campus branch of Bank of Ireland will be exhibiting, and will provide information on its competitive Postgraduate Education Loans.
University of Galway has launched a range of new postgraduate programmes for entry 2023, that are designed to meet industry needs and market demand. These include MA (languages and business ), MSc (cybersecurity risk management ), and MSc (health data science ). Information on all new programmes, along with University of Galway’s 200 other postgraduate programmes, will be available at the exhibition in the Bailey Allen Hall.
This event is aimed at undergraduate students and those who wish to return to learning or want to upskill in their career. You can meet with staff from the Centre of Adult Learning and Professional Development on the day and discuss part-time and flexible options.
