GRETB Training Centre is now offering a fully funded International Computer Driving Licence course (ICDL online ). The course is full-time, tutor-led, and fully online. It starts November 14 and runs for 20 weeks, which includes four weeks’ work placement.
This ICDL course will have live online, tutor-led, training sessions daily (Monday to Friday ) via Zoom. Assistance will be provided to learners who are not familiar with logging in to Zoom, to get them up and running for the daily online training sessions.
The ICDL online course provides you with the skills, knowledge, and competencies to use a wide range of software applications including:
· Documents: Create and format documents using Microsoft Word.
· Presentations: Communicate information using Microsoft PowerPoint.
· Spreadsheets: Organise and analyse data using Microsoft Excel.
· Computer essentials: Develop skills to use devices effectively.
· Online essentials: Use the internet and email to find and share information.
· Online collaboration: Communicate with others using online tools and platforms.
· Databases: Create tables, filter queries, forms, and reports using Microsoft Access.
The course includes a four week work placement module at the end of the course. Work placement can be in any office situation where learners get the opportunity to develop their practical skills. This has proven invaluable for attaining employment at the end of the programme.
You can source employment in a range of clerical/administrative positions in both the IT and other sectors. The certification to use devices and tools confidently and productively is an effective way for learners to set themselves apart. A sizeable number of GRETB's past learners are working in various office settings, reception areas, etc.
