Kelvin Gillmor is an award winning commercial, architectural, portrait and landscape photographer based in Galway City. When not behind his camera, Kelvin's other passion is drumming with Kif, the five piece Galway band.
Current Car Audi Avant A4, 170 bhp 2015, Kelvin says he "loves the finish, the reliability, the little bit of power. They are a great solid car" His German love is a big step up from his first car 99 SO 221. The Ford Fiesta was christened Barney by his brother after the loveable dinosaur as they were both bright purple and ancient..A series of Ford Focus' served Kelvin well until his growing photographic kit and drums required more space
Soundtrack. Kelvin's battle jacket should give some clue to the soundtrack on his long journey's Slayer, Metallica, ACDC they are all on the playlist and like a scene out of Wayne's World, this driver belts it out in harmony with articulated head movements. But it's not all metal, Kelvin confesses to being a LiveLine listener, but won't admit if he's talked to Joe.
Favourite Journey. No surprise here, as a talented landscape photographer Kelvin rates The Ring of Kerry as one of his favourite road trips. Minus the tourist traffic and the horses. For work it's the M6 Galway - Dublin motorway.
Perfect Passenger. With his trademark cheeky grin Kelvin says "his perfect passenger is someone who won't talk too much" We're thinking, Silent Bob.
Dream Chauffeur. It's the perfect driving duo, Kelvin riding shotgun with Dave Gilmour at the wheel.The Pink Floyd guitar god and the drummer.
