Kennys Bookshop have three exciting events in-store this October, to celebrate some of this season’s big book releases.
On Friday, October 7 at 6pm, Liadán Hynes will be in conversation with Edel Coffey to celebrate Liadán’s new book ‘Courting’ about dating in rural Ireland.
They will be joined by Lisa Regan and Betsy Cornwell whose stories feature in the book, and will discuss how and where we meet people, being single and some of stories covered in Liadán’s book, which she gathered from speaking to people in villages, towns, islands and farms around Ireland. Tickets are free but limited.
On Tuesday October 11, join TV chef, food & wine writer and food photographer Lilly Higgins for a ‘Crafternoon’ at Kennys to celebrate her new book, The Homemade Year.
Lilly will lead the group through making herb bundles and pumpkin carving. The event is 6-8pm, all crafting materials will be provided and wine will be served. Tickets are €30 which include a copy of Lilly’s book, or there is a ticket only option for €7. Spaces are limited!
On Thursday, October 27 at 6pm, author and podcaster Sophie White will be in Kennys and joined in conversation with Mike McCormack to celebrate of the launch of her new book, ‘Where I End’, a horror story about being bound by the blood knot of family, published by Tramp Press on October 13. Tickets are free but limited.
