Final phase of 15 new houses now on release at Gort na Fuinse, Headford

The new homes market traditionally re-emerges after the summer holidays, and this weekend the final phase of houses at Gort na Fuinse, Headford, is being released for sale with open viewings on Saturday September 24 and Sunday September 25 from 2pm to 4pm.

Gort na Fuinse provides discerning potential purchasers with a final opportunity to purchase from the 15 remaining three and four bedroom semidetached houses. Construction commenced on the 70 houses in late 2021, and a significant number of people have now moved into their new homes. Due to exceptional demand, the previous phases sold out in record time with agent Lydon Farrell Property reporting that it recently paused sales to afford the construction team the opportunity to catch up with the strong sales momentum.

Gort na Fuinse offers a mix of three and four bedroom modern semidetached houses with prices ranging from €300,000 for four house types. This exclusive new development represents the ultimate in construction standards and it is the first new scheme north of Galway city in some time.

Lydon Farrell Property acknowledged from the sales campaign to date that many purchasers were paying significant rent while working in Galway city, but now have chosen cheaper loan repayments at Gort na Fuinse, Headford, while remaining close to the city. Purchasers have obtained significant support of up to €30,000 from the Revenue Help to Buy Scheme via the approved developer, Sathel Ltd. In addition to the Help to Buy Scheme, more recently purchasers have also received extra support from the First Home Scheme.

The First Home Scheme is a recent Government initiative which aims to make home ownership achievable for thousands of individuals and families by bridging the gap for first-time buyers and other eligible homebuyers between their deposit and mortgage and the price of their new home.
