From saves to scissors — Packie Bonner to do honours at Maree-Oranmore FC 4G pitch

Maree Oranmore FC’s wonderful state of the art community 4G pitch facility at Caulfield Industrial Park will be officially opened this Sunday when former Irish international keeper Packie Bonner of Italia 90 fame will cut the ribbon.

The club is one of the fastest-growing with almost 1,000 playing members and coaches and the impressive facility at Maree is the envy of clubs around the west.

The pitch which cost 700k to develop will serve the local Maree School, Maree/Oranmore FC who developed the facility and all other community and sporting organisations.

Proceedings begin with club games at midday and will run till 4.30pm.The general public are very welcome from around 2.30pm onwards.

Teas/coffees and refreshments will be served in the marquee and all are most welcome especially club member families, the local community and sporting people generally.

They have issued a special thanks to club sponsors and volunteers, and those who support the Club monthly Members Draw for a fiver a week for cash prizes.

Maree/Oranmore fc caters for the soccer needs of all in the Maree and Oranmore communities from the developing player to the elite and with over 50 teams, boys and girls,men and women including our coveted Football For All Programme for kids with disabilities,

Entrance to the new facility is via the Maree Community Centre. All are most welcome for a Family Day.
