Galway WFC host Wexford Youths in the WNL at Eamonn Deacy Park on Saturday (7.35pm ).
Alan Murphy's improving team embarked on an 11 league match unbeaten run before losing away to Peamount United on July 30.
With several key players unavailable or injured, Galway WFC still produced a gutsy display in the capital, and Murphy is relishing another test against Wexford in a match that will be broadcast on TG4.
"These games are very important," Murphy says. "It is important that the women's game is promoted properly so that people understand the development that has gone into the game, to see the quality that is now there.
"It is a game that our girls are looking forward to, but we have to put our feet on the ground, to make sure that we perform well. That the game is on television is just an added bonus."
Murphy is adamant that the standard continues to rise in a competitive WNL.
"The quality is definitely there when you look across the board at the teams," he says. "We went 11 unbeaten and there were still teams in really good form, who stayed ahead of us.
"We just need to look at ourselves, we have Wexford coming up. They are in good form, they had a good win in the cup, they are flying high, probably looking at Shelbourne and trying to reel them in.
"So it will be a really tough test for us. We know what they are about. Obviously we have been up against them this season already."
Galway WFC and Wexford have drawn twice already in 2022, and Murphy expects another lively encounter with an accomplished Wexford outfit.
"They have a huge amount of experience," Murphy says. "In all honesty they have a lot more experience than we have. We do have some experienced players - and obviously some experienced players who are out injured or suspended at the minute on our side - we will miss them.
"It will be an opportunity for one or two of the other girls to get that experience. We have played Wexford twice this season they have been really tight games."
