Medieval Summer Fete at St Nic’s
The Medieval Summer Fete will take place in Saint Nicholas Collegiate Church Grounds on Saturday August 6 from 10.00am to 2.00pm
Get along and see medieval crafts and sword fights performed by Medieval Group SCA.
Enjoy Medieval Music with Galway Early Music Ensemble while enjoying cream tea or coffee. Learn medieval dance and enjoy guided tours of the church by tour guides in medieval costume.
Watch displays from Galway Community Circus and enjoy children’s activities: face painting, craft, juggling and more.
Visit the cake, produce, bric a brac, toy, plant, book and craft stalls.
Admission is €5.00 per Adult. Concessions €3.00 Seniors and Students.
Children under the age of 12 years are free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Burglaries in the county
Sometime between Thursday evening July 21 and Friday morning July 22, the offices of at commercial site at Cluide, Corrandulla were broken into.
Gardaí in Galway would like to speak with anyone who may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Cluide area on Thursday night/Friday morning, or anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident.

Between Saturday evening July 23 and Sunday afternoon July 24 a house at Polkeen, Castlegar was broken into and damage caused to the property.
Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Polkeen area on Saturday or Sunday last or anyone with any information in relation to the break in to contact them at Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030 or Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
Theft from MPV in city
At approximately 8.45pm on Tuesday July 19, a black Renault Traffic van was broken into while parked outside a property at Kingston Hall, Knocknacarra.
During the break in to the vehicle a number of DeWalt cordless power tools, along with a number of hand tools were stolen from the vehicle.
A grey coloured saloon car was observed in the area around the time of the incident.
Anyone who may have noticed any person acting suspiciously in the Kingston Hall area between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, or anyone who may have been offered any of the DeWalt cordless power tools or the hand tools for sale, is asked to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.
At approximately 1.20am on Thursday July 21 a white Renault Master van was broken into while parked outside a house at Lissavalley, Barnaderg, Tuam.
Gardaí are asking anyone who may have noticed any person acting suspiciously in the Barnaderg area on Wednesday night/Thursday morning or anyone with information to contact them at Tuam Garda Station on 093-70840.
Criminal damage in Ballinasloe
Between Friday evening July 22 and Saturday evening July 23 extensive damage was caused to the fencing at rear of a property at Dunlo Hill, Ballinasloe.
