NUI Galway recently celebrated 20 years of graduates from its biomedical engineering programme with a special event on campus.
Since the programme commenced in 1998 more than 800 biomedical engineers have graduated from the university, meeting the needs of the large medical technology multinationals and supporting the establishment of start-up medical device and technology companies.
As part of the event, the university held a panel discussion with biomedical and engineering graduates focusing on the past and future of biomedical engineering at NUI Galway, and how the programme can continue to be a cornerstone of the Galway MedTech ecosystem.
