A new bus shelter will be constructed at the Tudor Lawn bus stop along Thomas Hynes Road.
Cllr Eddie Hoare says: "Having made numerous representations on behalf of residents for this location to be considered for a bus shelter, I’m delighted that the Galway City Council are now progressing this project."
“New bus shelters were also erected last year at Hazel Park and also at the Corrib Village stop on Newcastle Road.
We need more bus shelters to encourage more people to use buses, I’ll continue to look for more locations to be included."
