Galway-based charity, the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, are asking women nationwide to take part in this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon on Sunday, June 5 by joining the charity marathon team for the event.
It is the biggest women’s event of its kind in the world and you can walk, jog or run to take part and help support of breast cancer research.
One in seven Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer with over 3,507 cases diagnosed annually. Funds raised by those taking part in the charity’s mini marathon team will go directly to support the breast cancer research at the Lambe Institute NUI Galway, lead by Prof. Michael Kerin.
