A stirring Galway United revival, featuring three goals in the closing 15 minutes, ensured John Caulfield's spirited team left the Markets Field with the full complement of spoils.

Dean George had scored twice for a pumped up Treaty United, but the visitors eventually prevailed.

Treaty took the lead in the 13th minute when Marc Ludden's sweet left wing cross was expertly headed home by Dean George.

John Caulfield's charges did go close in the 23rd minute, but Stephen Walsh's effort was well saved by Treaty custodian Jack Brady.

Wilson Waweru had a goal ruled out for offside ensuring Treaty departed at the interval armed with an advantage.

A 63rd minute goalmouth scramble ended with George poking a second for Treaty.

Caulfield made a flurry of substitutions with Ronan Manning announcing his arrival with a delicious 75th minute goal.

Then another replacement, Francely Lomboto, was fouled with 10 minutes remaining. David Hurley's free kick was headed home by teenager Alex Murphy as parity was restored.

Stephen Walsh, who demonstrated trademark grit throughout, fittingly capped the comeback mission with the decisive third, a goal that was celebrated furiously.
