Gardai investigate city and county burglaries

Shortly after 3am on Thursday April 19 a retail premises on Merchants Road was broken into and extensive damage was caused to the front window of the property.

Gardaí are anxious to speak with anyone who may have seen the damage being caused to the front of the property or anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the Merchants Road area between 3am and 3.30am on Tuesday to make contact with investigating gardaí.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Sometime between 8pm on Friday April 22 and 8am on Saturday April 23 a garage at the side of a house at Crossursa, Headford was broken into.

During the course of the break in a number of items including Galway crystal wine goblets, a red Hilti drill, a chrome Fohen kitchen tap, chrome sink taps, chrome shower heads and hoses, white Roca toilet seats and a number of door handles and hinges were taken from the garage.

Gardaí are asking anyone that may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Crossursa area on Friday night/Saturday morning or anyone who may have been offered any of the items for sale to contact them at Headford Garda Station on 093-53412 or Tuam Garda Station on 093-70840.

Laptop stolen in car break-in

Shortly after 5pm on Tuesday April 19 a red FIAT 500X was broken into while parked outside a house at Cluain Riocaird, Headford Road.

During the break in a chrome coloured Asus laptop, a charging cable along with some bottles of perfume was stolen from the vehicle.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have noticed anything unusual in the Cluain Riocaird area at around 5pm on April 19 or anyone who may have been offered the chrome coloured Asus laptop for sale is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Criminal damage to car

Between 7pm on Tuesday April 19 and 7.30am on Wednesday April 20 the wind deflectors and the front bonnet spoiler was damaged on a silver Ford Ranger pick-up that was parked outside a property at Gort Leinn, Monvea Road.

Gardaí in Galway Garda Station are asking anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused or anyone with any information in relation to this incident to contact them on 091-538000.

Diesel stolen from trucks

On Monday April 18 at around 11pm diesel was taken from three trucks parked in a yard close to the junction on Tuam Road and Bothar Na dTreabh.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have noticed anything unusual in the Tuam Road area on Monday April 18 at around 11 pm or anyone with any information in relation to this theft to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Theft of pedal cycle

Sometime between 10pm on Friday April 22 and 9am on Saturday April 23, a men’s black mountain bike was stolen from the front of a house at Fr Griffin Road.

Anyone who may have seen this theft taking place or anyone with any information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
