This was a satisfactory evening at Eamonn Deacy Park for Galway United, who claimed another important victory.
Stephen Walsh and David Hurley clipped the crucial goals as United gleaned the spoils.
The opening period was positive for the home team, who dictated the agenda.
Stephen Walsh reacted sharply in the area to drill United ahead in the ninth minute as Bray failed to deal with Conor McCormack's free kick.
John Caulfield's charges were dominant with Bray custodian Stephen McGuinness making a smart save to deny Manu Dimas in the 27th minute.
On the stroke of half-time McGuinness made an excellent reflex save to thwart Walsh.
Kurtis Byrne came close to restoring parity in the 67th minute, but his free kick struck the crossbar.
United pounced to add a second goal three minutes later when David Hurley converted a penalty following a Hugh Douglas foul on Killian Brouder.
With seven wins and two draws registered from 10 matches it has been an encouraging start to the campaign for United.
