Burglaries at Doughiska industrial units

During the last week two industrial units in the Doughiska area of Galway were broken into. In the first incident between 6pm on Wednesday March 30 and 7am on Thursday March 31 a warehouse in the Doughiska area was broken into and a number of power tools stolen. The items stolen include an orange Husqvarna consaw, a red Hilti consaw, a red Hilti impact drill, a skill saw and a red petrol generator.

The second break in took place between 3pm on Friday April 1 and 7.30am on Saturday April 2. In this break in, a large wacker plate and a road saw were taken from the property. Gardaí in Oranmore Garda Station are asking anyone who may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Doughiska area between Wednesday and Saturday last or anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen tools for sale to contact investigating gardaí at Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Also between Wednesday March 30 and Friday April 1 agricultural buildings at Shrule, Dunmore were broken into and damage caused to the property. Two orange Still chainsaws, a large red Honda power washer and a large compressor were all stolen from the property in the course of the break in.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the Shrule area of Dunmore between Wednesday March 30 and Friday April 1 or anyone with any information on any of the stolen items to contact them Dunmore Garda Station on 093-38131 or Tuam Garda Station on 09-70840.

Theft of pedal cycles

Between Monday March 28 and Friday April 1 a silver “Specialised” mountain bike was stolen from Cuirt Seoige, Bohermore. Anyone with any information in relation to the theft of this bike or who may have been offered a similar bike for sale and believe it may be stolen is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000

Theft from motor vehicles at Wellpark

Sometime between midnight and 8am on Monday March 28 two vehicles were broken into in at Sailin, Wellpark.

The first vehicle, a white BMW, was broken into while parked outside an apartment block. During the break in a black Vera Moda jacket was taken from the vehicle. The second vehicle, a white Audi A4 saloon, which was also parked in the area was broken into and a black purse taken from the vehicle.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have noticed anything unusual in the Sailin area on Sunday/Monday or anyone with any information to contact them at Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Criminal damage to flower beds

Shortly after midnight on Saturday morning April 2 damage was caused to a number of flower beds in the Srutha Mhuirlinn area, Ballybane.

A large amount of flowers were pulled up and thrown around the area and the flower beds and plants damaged.

Gardaí in Galway are asking anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused or anyone with any information in relation to this incident to contact them on 091-538000.
