‘Get on with your meals!’ - Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience returns

The critically acclaimed and long running tribute to the classic 1970s sitcom is back in Galway

THERE WERE only 12 episodes made of Fawlty Towers between 1975 and 1979, but there will be six servings of Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience in Galway in April.

Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience will see Basil, Sybil, and Manuel serve up mayhem on a plate to Galway audiences, alongside a three course meal, two hours of non-stop laughter, and possibly some audience participation.

The show, involving re-enactments of scenes from the iconic sitcom, along with c70 per cent improvised comedy, comes to The Galmont Hotel on Tuesday April 5, Friday 8, Saturday 9, and Sunday April 10 (suitable for age 13+ only ) at 7pm, along with a very special all ages “Sunday lunch at Faulty Towers” show on Sunday April 10 at 12.30pm.

.

Born in 1997, The Faulty Towers The Dining Experience has appeared in 41 countries and tours constantly in Australia, Europe, and Asia, and returns for extended seasons annually to the Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and has an ongoing residency in London’s West End.

This is a completely immersive and highly interactive comedy where anything can happen...and usually does. “Immersive theatre at its startling best,” said What’s On Stage; “a two hour eat, drink and laugh sensation,” said The Daily Telegraph; “For a good dinner and an even better show this one is a no brainer,” said the Scottish Field.

Having played more than 500 sell-out shows in Ireland (20 in Galway alone ) during the last 10 years, early booking is advised. Better get that order for “a gin and orange, a lemon squash, and a Scotch and water PLEASE!” in now.

This is a ‘Róisín Dubh Comedy presents…’ event. Tickets are available via https://www.roisindubh.net. Price includes the show and a three course meal.
