Umbrella Eile is a Galway-based social enterprise set up to help connect and support independent traders and small business owners. Since our inception in 2020, they have established a growing community of over 60 locally based crafters and traders, with the main goal of creating a positive social impact in Galway.
Umbrella Eile is a new way of doing business. It is all about shared ownership, collaboration, cooperation and transparency. It’s about creating connection - to others and to the community as a whole.
Now more than ever the importance of supporting local and buying local is at the forefront and Umbrella Eile understand the obstacles that small independent businesses are faced with and the importance of coming together during these challenging times to support each other.
Last year Umbrella Eile enjoyed incredible success with weekly artisan markets at the Galway Rowing Club in Woodquay but they are currently looking for a new home. They want to continue to support and nurture local artists, designers and producers all the while shaping the health and wealth of their community.
