CompTIA IT fundamentals - online tutor support and workshops course with GRETB Training Centre

Start your career in IT with a 10-week online course starting on March 28. This online self-directed course will have one online workshop per week through a learning platform with a tutor. The tutor will provide support for the rest of the week.

This introductory course to basic IT knowledge and skills will help participants to decide if a career in IT is right for them or to develop a broader understanding of IT.

Modules include:

· IT concepts and terminology: Illustrate the basics of computing and explain the value of data and troubleshooting.

· Software development: Comprehend programming language categories, interpret logic, and understand the purpose of programming concepts.

· Infrastructure: Set up and install common peripheral devices to a laptop/PC or secure a basic wireless network.

· Applications and Software: Manage applications software and understand the various components of an operating system.

· Security: Understand confidentiality, integrity, and availability concerns of secure devices.

Participants who choose this course will be able to source entry level employment in IT roles as technical support, support technician, and information technology desktop support.

On successful completion of this 10-week online course participants will achieve the CompTIA IT fundamentals certification by CompTIA - the world’s leading tech association.
