Coyote’s late bar will host the final of Miss Galway 2009 this Sunday at 7pm. The final will see 16 qualifying contestants compete for the title and a chance to represent Galway at the Miss Ireland competition in July. If crowned Miss Ireland, the lucky competitor will then compete at Miss World in November.
Galway is known for producing stunning contestants to Miss Ireland. Former Miss Galway winners who have also been crowned Miss Ireland are Vivienne Doyle, Emir Houlahan-Doyle and Lynda Duffy. For the second year running there will also be a provincial winner announced at the Miss Ireland finals. Last years winner, Roisin O'Dolan, was the first crowned Miss Connaught.
The winner of Miss Galway will win a host of prizes including personal fitness training by Unique personal training and Galway Power Plate, teeth whitening by Smiles dental spa, beauty treatments by the Beauty Rooms, hairdressing by Barry's hair studio, a model portfolio by Declan Colohan photography, and all clothing for the final by Select boutique. The 16 finalists are Meghan Scully, Lucy Lowth, Lisa Nolan, Ciara Flaherty, Annmarie Cahill, Emma Burke, Deirdre Donohue, Niamh Walsh, Maire Hughes, Leonie McGuigan, Lorraine Connolly, Laura Burke, Eimear Dalton, Gillian Browne, Sandra Heverin, and Elva Conole.
