Beat the recession blues on Thursday June 4 at Athenry’s first clothes swap evening. The Raheen Woods hotel is the venue for the latest fashion craze to hit Galway. If you went to the recent clothes swap at the Radisson hotel you will know what you are missing, and if you missed it, then don’t let another chance pass you by. The idea is to bring along your unwanted (but perfect condition ) clothes and exchange them for credit vouchers, which can then be exchanged for any of the items on offer. Everyone has clothes lingering in their wardrobes that will never be worn again, so why not use this opportunity for a clearout. If you don’t have clothes worth bringing you will also be able to buy vouchers on the night at a nominal rate. Clothing can be dropped off at the hotel in advance (from 3pm ) or just turn up on the evening. Entrance is €10 and all proceeds will go to Gaelscoil Riada.
