Galway Street Club - Róisín Dubh shows and new single

Band to resume annual St Patrick’s Day shows next week, and release new video for ‘Black Widow of Iron Mountain’ is out now

GALWAY STREET Club make their long awaited return to the stage with two headline shows at the Róisín Dubh for St Patrick’s Day.

The band will play the Dominick Street venue on Thursday March 17 at 5pm and 8pm. This will be followed by two support slots for Alabama 3 in the Academy, Dublin, on March 25, and Limelight in Belfast on March 26.

The group's last performance came in the form of a headline show in November 2019 in Whelan’s in Dublin, followed by a voluntary six-month hiatus to rejuvenate after a hectic performing schedule. Then came an involuntary two year hiatus along with the rest of the world.

“Our first gig back being in the Róisín Dubh, on Paddy’s Day, is almost like the perfect storm,” says James, one of the group's lead-vocalists. “I really can’t wait to feel the energy of the Róisín backroom on a sweaty night once again.”

With more members, more instruments, and more songs, these shows promise to be something special. The band have also released a new video for the song ‘Black Widow of Iron Mountain’, accompanied by a video directed by Morgan Creative.
