Renmore came out on top by 2-1 of an evenly matched contest against West Coast in the GFA U12 Boys’ Division Two League in Renmore Avenue on Saturday.
Renmore started the game quicklyand almost took an early lead after exchanges between Oisin Gotham and Liam Kelly led to an Eanna Daly finish. However, it was chalked off for offside.
Not long after, Daly put Renmore in front by finishing low beyond the opposing keeper, but West Coast came right back and scored a superb goal, with the right midfielder passing two players before unleashing a rocket into the Renmore goal.
The game was even until halfway through the second half when Luke Seoighe latched onto a loose ball in the box and sent it into the corner to give Renmore a lead once more, which they managed to preserve to the final whistle.
