TWO GALWAY music legends; the inaugural winner of the Choice Music Award; a rising star among Irish singer-songwriters; and a Galway trad music and dance phenomenons.
A line-up of Julie Feeney, Leo Moran and Padraig Stevens, Ultan Conlon, Máirín Fahy and Friends awaits Galway when the Galway Advertiser presents the ‘Live Again’ concert at the Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday 16th March 2022 at 8pm.
The basis of this concert is the Galway Advertiser continuing its long standing support for the Galway arts community. As the State emerges from the restrictions necessitated by the pandemic, this concert is about giving performers the chance to perform, and the public a chance to see some of the county’s finest live on stage.

Athenry’s Julie Feeney is one of the most original and striking talents at work in Irish music today, with her songs straddling the genres of pop, indie, and classical.
She won the inaugural Choice Music Prize for her debut album, 13 songs in 2005, and followed that with pages (2009 ) and Clocks (2012 ). She is best known for the song ‘Impossibly Beautiful’, while Clocks was The Irish Times album of the year for 2012.
She is currently writing her fourth album and working on an opera, Bird, inspired by Oscar Wilde's story, 'The Happy Prince'. She has played Holland, Mexico, Italy, Germany, France, China, Brazil, USA, Canada, and Britain, and conducted the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Irish Chamber Orchestra.Galway legend and folk singer-songwriters Padraig Stevens and Leo Moran (Saw Doctors ).
Padraig Stevens and Leo Moran, two of Galway's greatest and most popular singer-songwriters, will deliver a set of new songs, old favourites, and sing-alongs for ‘Live Again’.

Leo Moran is best known as a member of The Saw Doctors, and was vocalist on a number of their most memorable songs (‘Clare Island’ ) and some of their funniest (‘Hay Wrap’ ). He has also frequently collaborated with Padraig Stevens, and Stevens has co-written such well known Saw Doctors’ hits as 'I Useta Lover' and 'That’s What She Said Last Night'.
Christy Moore, Michael English, and Eleanor Shanley have all had success with songs written by Stevens, such as 'The Tuam Beat', ‘Streets of Galway’, and 'Ireland for the Summer'. He has also released two solo albums - Sound! and Puddles and Rainbows - and as The Folk Footballers with Leo Moran, an album of football songs.

Ultan Conlon has come to the fore in the public’s conscience with his albums, Last Days Of The Night Owl (2018 ), the single ‘The Measure’, and last year’s There’s A Waltz, his fourth album, which, despite coming during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, has proven to be his most successful yet.

The album was recorded in LA with Grammy Award winning American folk artist Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek ), drummer Don Heffington (Bob Dylan ), bassist Sebastian Steinberg (Iron and Wine, Neil Diamond, kd lang ), fiddler Gabe Witcher (Paul Simon, Beck ), and Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek ) on backing vocals - showing the respect the Loughrea singer-songwriter commands.
Hotpress has praised Conlon for his “songs of substance told with intelligence and wry observation”, while The Sunday Times said his music “revels in the beauty of the simple and unspectacular”.

Trad On The Prom's fiddle player and vocalist, Máirín Fahy, also soloist with Riverdance and The Chieftains, will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Yvonne Fahy on accordion and bodhrán; Francis Cunningham on Concertina, Eimear Coughlan on Harp, Marc Roberts on vocals, Colm Henry on keyboards.

The musicians will be accompanied by world champion Irish dancer Claire Greaney (six-time world champion ) and Trad on the Prom star Aoife Ní Shé (7 world medals ).
