Russian writer to read at Over The Edge

Sharon Black, Claire Loader, and Vincent Flannery to join Polina Cosgrave on February 24 event on Zoom

THE WRITERS Polina Cosgrave, Sharon Black, Claire Loader, and Vincent Flannery will read from their work at the February Over The Edge: Open Reading on Zoom.

The reading takes place on Thursday, February 24 at 6.30pm and the MC will be Susan Millar DuMars.

Polina Cosgrave is a Russian-born writer based in Ireland. She was born in Volgograd and earned a degree in linguistics as a teacher of English and French in Volgograd State Pedagogical University. Her work has been widely published in Russia and Ireland. Her debut poetry collection, My Name Is, was published by Dedalus Press. She is featured in the Forward Prizes Book of Poetry 2022.

Sharon Black is from Glasgow and her poetry has won the Guernsey International Poetry Competition 2019 and The London Magazine Poetry Prizes 2019 and 2018. She has new poetry collections coming out this year from both Vagabond Voices and with Drunk Muse Press.

Claire Loader is a New Zealand born writer and photographer now living in Galway. She won the Women Speak Poetry Competition in 2019 and her story ‘Return’ was shortlisted for the Allingham Flash Fiction Prize in the same year.

Vincent Flannery is a creative writing student at NUI Galway. His poems have been published in ROPES.
