GIGANTIC AT De Burgos will host a series of clubnights throughout the Bank Holiday weekend and Volvo Ocean Race stopover, with Norman Jay’s DJ set the highlight on Sunday.
Tomorrow from 10pm, Stevie G and KC will be spinning the decks. Expect a soul filled party packed with hip-hop, disco, house, and ska. Admission is €10.
On Saturday, DJs Olive, Tom, and Mac will play the best of indie, house, and electro with snippets of sixtes songs, disco, and other surprises. Doors are at 10pm and admission is €10.
Norman Jay, one of the finest and most respected DJs in the world, who in 2002 was awarded an MBE for “deejaying and services to music” plays Gigantic on Sunday.
In addition to his own Giant 45 radio show on BBC London, Norman is also seen regularly on various TV programmes and playing from the top deck of his bus with The Good Times Sound System at Notting Hill Carnival.
Doors are at 10pm and admission is €15.
After that Gigantic will host a series of free DJ sets from The Commander on Monday June 1; DJ Olive on Tuesday 2; Keith Disconaut on Wednesday 3; and Mac on Thursday 4. Then on Friday 5, Gigantic will host the Chernobyl Aid Ireland Fundraiser. Admission is €10.
