For a limited period only, you can save up to a whopping €16,500 on an Volvo FlexiFuel model. There is a minimum saving of €7,679 on the C30 1.8 S FFV.
Last month Volvo announced massive price reductions on a fixed number of Flexifuel variants from the Volvo range. A total of 100 cars were offered at these prices and one month on there are less than 40 left. So if you want to be driving to the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Galway in a superbly priced new eco-friendly model, you had better get a move on to Kenny Galway on the Tuam Road.
Since introduction the Volvo FlexiFuel variants, capable of running on any mix of unleaded petrol and E85 (bio-ethanol ), have been the most popular engines within the Volvo range in Ireland.
"The FlexiFuel engine has been the right environmental choice for our customers" said Adrian Yeates, Volvo Car Ireland's sales and marketing manager. "We are also conscious that right now people are understandably concerned about the future, both in terms of the economy as well as the environment.
“So we made exactly 100 Flexifuel cars from our range available for a limited period at very special prices. With just 40 left it is strictly first come first served, when these cars have gone, that will be it. But if you are quick, you can still save up to €16,500 on a Volvo FlexiFuel when compared to a new order placed from the factory."
The cars available include C30 1.8 S FFV €18,862 (saving €7,679 ); S40 1.8 SE FFV €21,594 (saving €8,317 ); V50 1.8 SE FFV €24,593 (saving €7,237 ); S80 2.0 SE FFV €30,992 (saving €16,581 ); and the V70 2.0 SE FFV €34,658 (saving €15,511 ).
Volvo says that by fuelling with E85 bio-ethanol instead of petrol, you can reduce the amount of fossil carbon dioxides in the exhaust fumes by up to 80 per cent while driving.
Choosing the E85 powered Volvo FlexiFuel, you can enjoy a car that is just as fun and comfortable to drive as corresponding petrol or diesel powered car. In fact, you won’t notice any difference except Volvo reminds us that you - will have the satisfaction of knowing you’re making a difference.
