Shels defeat United at Eamonn Deacy Park

John Ross Wilson scored twice for Damien Duff's team

Galway United 0 Shelbourne 2

John Ross Wilson scored a goal in either half as Shelbourne defeated Galway United at Eamonn Deacy Park.

It was a useful exercise for both teams with United again featuring a number of trialists.

Shels' splendid right full Wilson netted the only goal in a physical and hard fought opening period as the interval approached.

United battled well with Conor McCormack and David Hurley operating in the centre of the park.

Out wide Francely Lomboto caused Shels some problems with United unfortunate not to score following good approach work from the former Galway Hibernians player.

After the restart Jordan Adeyemo, McCormack, and Hurley went close for United, but Damien Duff's Shels had inflicted sufficient damage.
