The Galway Social Space, the city’s new and independently run community and cultural centre, recently opened on 24 Middle Street, and has a packed programme of activities for September.
The centre is hosting a wide variety of workshops, classes, and impromptu music in the bustling donations-based café on the ground floor.
Among the courses it is running are English, Irish, and Spanish classes; massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, meditation, and yoga; analogue synth workshops; vocal percussion workshops; open mic, open decks, and film nights; craft afternoons and knitting workshops; and space for public meetings and debates.
