Car stolen in Knocknacarra burglary
In the early hours of Wednesday January 12 between midnight and 1.30am a house at An Clarin, Ballymoneen Road was broken into.
During the course of the burglary a set of car keys was taken from the property and used to take a black Nissan Quasqai from outside the property.
Gardaí in Salthill are anxious to speak with anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Ballymoneen Road area on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning or anyone with any information in relation to the burglary or the movements of the stolen black Nissan Quasqai.Anyone with any information is asked to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.
On Friday January 14 at approximately 8:30pm, a male was disturbed while breaking into a house at Gort Na Coiribe, Headford Road.
The male is described as being in his twenties, about 5ft 10 to 6ft in height and wearing a long dark jacket, black tracksuit pants with a brown woollen hat and a red scarf.
When disturbed this male ran from the property in the direction of the Headford Road.
Anyone who may have been in the Headford Road area around 8.30pm on Friday evening who may have seen the male described or anyone who may have any information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
Rings stolen in Ballinasloe robbery
On Saturday January 15 at 6.10pm a house at Moher, Ballinasloe was broken into and damage caused to the property.
During the course of the burglary, a solitaire diamond ring with a gold band and a gold ring with an opal stone were stolen from the property. Four males travelling in a dark coloured saloon car were observed close to the property around the time of the break in and the vehicle was subsequently observed driving away from the area at high speed in the direction of the M6 motorway. These rings hold a great deal of sentimental value to the owner and gardaí in Ballinasloe are appealing to anyone who may have seen any of the four males acting suspiciously in the Moher area on Saturday evening or anyone with any information in relation to the stolen rings to contact them at Ballinasloe Garda Station on 09096-31890.
Criminal damage to Oranmore apartment block
Gardaí in Oranmore are appealing for witnesses after vandals sprayed graffiti on the exterior walls of an apartment block on The Bog Road, Oranmore.
The incident took place at approximately 11.15am on Monday January 10. The gardaí are anxious to speak with anyone that may have been in the area on Monday morning and may have witnessed the damage being caused or anyone who may have any information in relation to the incident.

Dollars and ID taken from Ballinasloe MPV
Sometime between 10pm on Friday January 14 and 10am on Saturday January 15 at Hillcrest Park, Ballinasloe a brown Peugeot 3008 SUV was broken into.
During the break-in, ID cards along with a quantity of US dollars were stolen from the vehicle. Anyone who may have noticed anything unusual in the area on Friday night/Saturday morning or who may have any information in relation to the stolen items is asked to contact Ballinasloe Garda Station on 09096-31890.
