New children's sensory space at Galway City Museum

Cllr Eddie Hoare says it will “benefit a lot of children across the city and county”

A new children's sensory space has been created at the Galway City Museum. Access is free and bookings can be made online through the museum website.

The sensory space has been funded through The Creative Ireland programme run by the Department of Culture, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht.

It has been welcomed by Fine Gael Galway City Central councillor, Eddie Hoare [pictured below]. “This is a really welcome addition to the museum and will benefit a lot of children across the city and county,” he said.

Cllr Hoare recently received approval from the Galway City Council for the installation of communication boards across playgrounds in the city.

“This is another very welcome investment by the council,” he said. “I am delighted that an agreement has been reached for the installation of these boards which will positively impact a lot of children.”
