Gardaí appeal for information on burglaries

Incidents took place in Ballinasloe in late November and in Claregaleay this month

Gardaí are appealing for witnessess, or anyone with information, about two burglaries which took place in County Galway recently.

The incidents took place in Ballinasloe in late November, and in Claregaleay this month.

Between Sunday November 21 and Saturday November 27, a vacant house at Cuddoo West, Colemanstown, Ballinasloe was broken into and damage caused to the property. Copper piping and a copper cylinder, along with a number of hand tools, were stolen from the property.

Gardaí in Monivea are asking anyone who may have been in or around the Colemanstown area between Sunday November 21 and Saturday November 27 and may have seen any person acting suspiciously, or anyone who may have been offered the copper piping and cylinder or the hand tools for sale to contact Monivea Garda Station (091-849002 ) or Athenry Garda Station (091-844016 ).

Sometime between 8pm on Friday December 3 and 8am on Saturday December 4 a shed at the side of a property at Carraghy, Claregalway was broken into.

A transmission jack, a Dewalt drill, a Dewalt impact drill, a red tool box and a Bradley hitch for a trailer were taken from the shed in the course of the burglary. Gardaí in Loughgeorge are appealing to anyone who may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Annaghdown/Knockdoe area between Friday and Saturday last or anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen items for sale to contact at Loughgeorge Garda Station (091-798122 ).
