Heat system stolen in Corrandulla burglary

Gardai are investig the theft of a heat recovery system from a house in the county. Sometime between 5 pm on Friday November 26 and 8 am on Saturday November 27 a house under construction at Glenrevagh, Corrandulla, Co Galway was broken into.

During the course of the break-in, a heat recovery system was taken from the property. This burglary would have taken some time and would have required transport to remove the stolen items.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the Corrandulla area last Friday night/Saturday morning or anyone with any information in relation to the stolen heat recovery system to contact them at Loughgeorge Garda Station on 091-798122.

Sometime between Friday November 26 and Sunday November 28, a shed at the side of a property at Aughclogeen, Claregalway, Co Galway was broken into. A Hawk power-washer, plastering stilts along with building materials and tools were taken from the shed in the course of the burglary.

Gardaí in Loughgeorge are again appealing to anyone who may have seen any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the Loughgeorge/Corrandulla area between Friday and Sunday last or anyone who may have been offered the Hawk power-washer, plastering stilts or any items they believe may have been stolen to contact them at Loughgeorge Garda Station on 091-798122.

Between Saturday November 27 and Sunday November 28, a workshop along the Athenry to Derrydonnell Road, Athenry was broken into and damage caused to the property.

In the course of the burglary four Velux windows along with the lead flashing was stolen from the workshop. Anyone who may have been on the Derrydonnell Road area on Friday or Saturday and may have noticed anything unusual or anyone who may have been offered any of the Velux windows or the lead flashing for sale is asked to contact Athenry Garda Station on 091-844016.

Cars set alight in city

On Thursday morning, November 25 just after 4am a silver Citreon C4 was set alight while parked outside a property in Ballinfoyle Park, Headford Road, Galway.

Gardaí are asking anyone who saw any persons or vehicle acting suspiciously in the Ballinfoyle Park or Headford Road area in the early hours of Thursday morning or anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

The Gardaí in Galway are investigating another possible arson incident that took place on Sunday morning November 28. Shortly after 6am, a black Ford Fusion hatchback and a white Renault were set alight while parked outside a house at Carn Ard, Circular Road, Galway.

The resulting fire also caused extensive damage to the exterior of the property. The Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in or around the Carn Ard area at around 6 am on Sunday morning or anyone with any information in relation to this incident to contact investigating Gardaí at Galway Garda Station on 091-538000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111
