WITH 2021 winding to a close and 2022 on the horizon, many will be looking ahead to what they can finally get around to doing in the New Year.
If a long standing ambition is creative writing, and finally getting that story or idea onto paper, then the creative writing classes, for beginner and experienced levels, from Galway writers Kevin Higgins and Susan Miller DuMars, are the places to start.
Creative writing for beginners with Kevin Higgins takes place on Mondays from 7pm to 9.30pm, starting January 17, and running for 12 weeks. There will be exercises for those interested in writing stories, poems, or memoir.
Intermediate creative writing with Susan Millar DuMars takes place on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9.30pm, starting January 19, and running for 12 weeks. It is suitable for those who have participated in creative writing classes before or have had work published.
Advance booking is essential. A place on either class costs €200. Classes will be conducted via Zoom. To book a place contact the Galway Technical Institute, Father Griffin Road, via 091 - 581342, [email protected], or http://www.gti.ie.
