Eddi Reader to play Town Hall in 2022

Acclaimed Scottish singer to begin her Irish tour in Galway

FROM EARLY days doing backing vocals for Gang Of Four, to hit singles with Fairground Attraction, to her present position as one of Scotland’s most esteemed folk singers, Eddi Reader can look back with satisfaction at her 40 year career.

To mark this milestone, Eddi is undertaking her 40 Years Live Concert Tour around Ireland next year, starting in Galway on February 10 at the Town Hall Theatre.

Eddi first came to wide attention in the late 1980s when Fairground Attraction had a massive hit with ‘Perfect’. By the 1990s, Eddi had gone solo and has never looked back.

Among her many albums are such noticeable highlights such as 2003’s The Songs of Robert Burns and 2018’s Cavalier. She has won Brit Awards, been awarded four honorary degrees, an MBE, and been declared “one of my favourite singers of all time” by Jools Holland, as “just perfect” by The Sunday Times, and “ world class” by R2 magazine.

Tickets are on sale via the Town Hall (www.tht.ie, 091 - 569777 ) or Ticketmaster.ie
