Club Áras na nGael Christmas culture fest

A weekend of trad music, a trad session, and events focussing on Transgender issues

CLUB ÁRUS na nGael’s Christmas Culture Festival takes place from December 3 to 5, featuring a drag show, trad music, a trad session, and events focussing on Transgender issues.

The festival begins on Friday December 3 with a Christmas Drag Show, featuring Leigh Greally, Dylan Jordan, Aurora Divine, and Celtic Tigress.

On Saturday 4, the club will host the Small Trans Library from 1pm to 4pm, featuring a mobile library of queer and trans authored books, as well as a book club event where chapters from Shon Faye’s recently released book, The Transgender Issue, will be discussed.

On the Saturday evening, there will be live music from 6.30pm with The Kettle Boilers, Catch The Lemon, and The Davies Brothers.

On Sunday 5, there will be an open Trad Session, and people are invited to bring along an instrument and join in.

Covid Certs will be needed to gain access to all events. All events are free. The Christmas Culture Festival is funded by the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme Phase 2.
