THE BRILLIANT Galway pop-rock trio, Rofi James, release their new single, ‘Berlin Wall’ on Friday November 26, and play a Galway city show next month.

‘Berlin Wall’ was written by the band - Ronan Flaherty, Jamie Murray, and Joseph Flaherty - during the initial lockdown and deals with living in such circumstances.

“The song is about wanting to get away from everything, craving a break from the mundane daily routine experienced while in lockdown,” said the band, “escaping your usual surroundings, and the daily routine of living in a pandemic, hoping to catch a glimpse of normality once again.”

Since releasing their debut single in 2016, the Galway-based band have enjoyed more than four million impacts on Irish radio, including RTÉ 2FM, iRadio, Beat 102103, Red FM, and stations in the US and European continent. They have also amassed 220,000 streams on Spotify, and performed with Ryan Sheridan, Picture This, Wild Youth, Pa Sheehy (Walking On Cars ), and The Riptide Movement, and played Electric Picnic, Fever Pitch, and Riverfest Festivals.

As Joe.ie said: “Rofi James is knocking on the door. Hailing from Galway, [they] are making a lot of people sit up and take notice, establishing themselves as a force in Irish music.”
