Western Alzheimers, which provides both care and support services in Mayo, Galway and Roscommon, is looking to recruit both paid and voluntary carers in the Galway area.
The charity's aim is to help those living with dementia to enjoy a meaningful life as an active member of the community for as long as possible, while also ensuring their primary carer gets a well-deserved break from caring.
Western Alzheimers is also available for those coming to terms with a diagnosis of dementia. Staff are on hand to listen and chat, and can help sourcing a range of information on the condition itself and services available locally in your area.
Those interested in both paid caring roles and voluntary befrienders in the Galway area can attend an information event where staff will be on hand to answer any questions.
