Galway East Sinn Féin representative Louis O'Hara is urging people to ensure they register to vote in advance of the registration deadline of Thursday November 25.
“I would urge everyone to register to ensure that they protect their vote and can make sure their voice is heard at the next election,” said Mr O’Hara, who secured 16.7 percent of the first preference votes in Galway East in the February 2020 general election, and who lasted until the eighth and final count.
“Last year, people showed in a historic election that they want to see real change in government and a break from the old parties of the past who are out of touch, out of ideas and out of time,” he said. “If you want to see change, you have to make sure that your voice is heard and that you can cast your vote.”
