South Connacht Citizens Information Service is delighted to announce the resumption of drop-in services at its offices from November 1. Throughout the Covid19 pandemic, South Connacht Citizens Information Service has continued to delivery crucial information, advice and advocacy services to the public. However due to public health considerations, in-person services have been limited.
The resumption of drop-in services will help ensure that our services are as accessible as possible to the public. The public should be aware however that capacity may be limited at certain times due to necessary public health measures and staffing constraints. A full-time telephone and email service will continue to be available.
Citizens Information Services provide a free and confidential information, advice and advocacy service to public. You can get information and advice on areas such as Social Welfare entitlements, Health, Family Matters, Housing, Employment Rights, Income Supports and much more.
You can speak confidentially with a locally-based Information Officer who can help with your query, by providing you with information and advice on the best the best steps to take as well as advocating on your behalf where appropriate.
You can call into Galway Citizens Information Service at Augustine House, St. Augustine Street, H91 Y7XH. Drop-in services are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10-00-1:00pm and Weds afternoon 2:00pm- 5:00pm.
