GALWAY UNITED 1 BRAY WANDERERS 0
Wilson Waweru's late goal ensured Galway United made it four wins on the spin at Eamonn Deacy Park.
A tight and tense encounter against Bray Wanderers was decided when Conor McCormack's clever 83rd minute pass released Wilson Waweru, who pounced to score.
Waweru's eight goal of the campaign means United will finish the SSE Airtricity League first division in second place ahead of the play/offs on November 3 and 7.
An eventful opening period was packed with opportunities as United started brightly with Joe Gorman, Waweru, and Ruairi Keating close.
Bray had chances too with Ryan Graydon and Sam Verdon thwarted with the teams departing deadlocked at the interval.
After the restart it remained hard fought with Waweru providing the decisive blow in the closing stages in front of another sizeable crowd. Gaining momentum and admirers United's 2021 story continues to unfold. The last chapter will be worth monitoring.
