Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre, Galway's oldest language school and a Department of Education recognised training institute, now in its 34th year of business, will hold an open day on September 28. The centre welcomes anyone interested in studying with it to drop by, where the team will have information on the foreign language programme, TEFL courses, and English language classes.
The school is Ireland's first provider of QQI TESOL TEFL courses (Level 7 award ). Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre offers the most number of TEFL courses per year. The centre offers a Department of Education QQI Level 7 award in TEFL, and has links to more than 120 Irish schools recruiting teachers.
"We are so happy to be Ireland's first accredited provider of the QQI TESOL Level 7 TEFL award and encourage anyone interested in becoming a teacher of English as a second or other language to take this award, the best qualification there is," said Patrick Creed, school director.
The school is also returning to face to face teaching for evening foreign language classes including Spanish, Italian, German, Polish, and Portuguese, and evening part time English language courses including Cambridge Examination preparation courses.
An open day with free information on all courses, for anyone who wants to drop by, is being held on September 28.
