Three poets go Over The Edge

Hannah Lowe, D'or Seifer, and Liz O’Riordan to read at Galway’s long running literary event

THE POETS Hannah Lowe, D'or Seifer, and Liz O’Riordan will be the readers at the Over The Edge: Open Reading on Zoom on Thursday September 30 at 6.30pm.

Hannah Lowe was born in Ilford to an English mother and Jamaican-Chinese father. She has lived in London, Brighton, and California. She is now a lecturer in Creative Writing at Brunel University. Her first book-length collection Chick won the 2015 Michael Murphy Memorial Prize. Her other collections are Chan (2016 ) and The Kids (2021 ), which is the Poetry Book Society Choice for Autumn 2021.

D'or Seifer lives in Limerick and co-runs the online poetry series Lime Square Poets. Her work has appeared in Skylight 47, the Galway Advertiser's Vox Galviapage, Spilling Cocoa Over Martin Amis, Lothlorien Poetry Journal, and Pendemic.

Liz O’Riordan lives in Galway city. She read her work at the Over The Edge open-mic. Her writing has been published in the Vox Galvia page in the Galway Advertiser.

The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. There will be an open-mic after the featured readers. New readers are especially welcome. Those interested in taking part should contact Kevin Higgins via 087-6431748 or [email protected] between 6pm and 6.30pm.
