Galway Executive Skillnet’s (GES ) autumn training schedule was launched last week by adventurer Karen Weekes at Galway Rowing Club. Kinvara-based Ms Weekes is planning to be the first Irish woman to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean as part of her #SHECANDO2021 campaign.
Galway Executive Skillnet is a training network with a strong track record of delivering quality, relevant, flexible, accessible, training programmes. Together with financial support from its funding agency, Skillnet Ireland, it offers exceptional value for money to local SMEs looking to upskill.
According to network promoter, Margaret Cox, the new schedule includes some exciting new programmes for SMEs. “Developing our teams is essential for business success," she said. "This is true now more than ever. GES, with funding from Skillnet Ireland are supporting companies throughout the west to invest for success. Working with us means that we can bring affordability into your training investment.”
These programmes are targeted at a range of employees, from senior managers to emerging talent. They include the recently piloted and hugely successful SMACHT peer-to-peer support programme for CEOs, programmes to develop and accelerate future leaders, and sales 101 and marketing 101 for beginners on how to sell, find new customers, and drive revenues.
As well as supporting businesses, Galway Executive Skillnet has another exciting programme to support jobseekers looking to return to work. CareerMAP4.0 is a cutting edge blended programme with mentoring support. Starting in October, it has supported 88 per cent of previous participants in finding employment.
