Hession School of Dance is a leading Irish dance school in Galway established in 1963 by Celine Hession. The school is now under the direction of her daughter, Gemma Carney.
Ms Carney and her team are committed to passing on their passion for Irish culture, music, and dance to the next generation. The school offers both recreational and competitive classes - culminating in the annual spectacle in the Town Hall Theatre.
Hession School of Dances produces champion dancers for productions including Riverdance, Lord the Dance, and Trad on the Prom. It has taught social media sensations the Gardiner brothers, and three members of Tik Tok senation Cairde.
The newest member of the school's team is Siobhan Manson, who is lead dancer with Riverdance.
Six times world champion, local woman Claire Greaney, is taking over the Claregalway beginner class.
The school is now also offering classes in new locations in Clarinbridge, and in Ballybrit in its purpose built mirrored studio.
