Galway Comedy Festival returns in October

IRELAND'S BIGGEST festival of comedy comes roaring back to Galway this October Bank Holiday, and organisers are planning a triumphant return for this week-long festival of fun.

The festival will run from Tuesday October 19 to Monday 25 and the full Galway Comedy Festival programme will be revealed at 10am tomorrow, Wednesday September 15.

To launch the festival, and reveal the line-up of carefully curated craic, Galway Comedy Festival will celebrate with two live shows - The Galmont Hotel, Galway, on Tuesday September 14, and in The Laughter Lounge, Dublin, on Wednesday 15. A very limited number of tickets for these shows are available.

The Galway show will feature Andrew Maxwell, Karl Spain, Tom O’Mahony, and Sinead Quinlan. Doors are at 8pm, with comedy from 9pm. Tickets are available in pods of two and four from www.roisindubh.net

The Dublin launch will feature Jason Byrne, Andrew Maxwell, Enya Martin, and Karl Spain in The Laughter Lounge, from 7.30pm. Tickets are available via www.laughterlounge.com

In line with Government guidelines, attendees must be fully vaccinated. Covid certs/proof of vaccination will be checked at the door, along with a valid ID.

The organisers also wish to thank the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and Minister Catherine Martin, for their support.
