GALWAY FRINGE Festival will present an outdoor programme of creative arts activities throughout Galway city and county during the autumn.
The Fringe will be a carnival-style performing arts spectacle, which will encourage community involvement and offer site-specific, outdoor theatre, music, film, and literary pop-up events and displays.
This year’s Festival will comprise ‘The Show Must Go On’ Fringe Festival (Friday September 10 to Saturday 18 ) and the ‘Festival Finale’ (Saturday 18 to Wednesday 30 ). The live events held in September will be referred to as Act 1, followed by a live outdoor event, ‘Fringe in the Park’, this October as Act 2. More details are to follow.
Applications sought
The festival committee welcoming applications in the following categories to host an event in a location of their choosing, and be included in The Fringe Festival listing: Outdoor site-specific shows (theatre, poetry, literature, storytelling, song, music, and dance ); live projections, art installations, street spectacle or performances; and exhibitions. All individual events will be promoted across The Fringe Festival’s social media platforms, schedule, and website.
