The Tribesmen have won rugby league's All-Ireland trophy for the second time in their history.
The Galway side overcame Dublin City Exiles in the men’s first division decider at Malahide on Saturday by 30-16.
Tribesmen were always in control after the Exiles opened with an early penalty, and thereafter they never let their lead slip.
Tribesmen tested the Dublin defence with strong running from Mata Fifita and Abdulhaq Abayomi, and eventually Fifita squeezed over for a try after 20 minutes with Barry Walsh adding the two points. Seven minutes later Fifita bagged his second and Tribesmen were in control.
With halfback Ryan Guilfoyle and Barry Walsh dictating play, ably assisted by Ethan Fifita, Tribesmen created another break, and after substitute Sam Cullen dummied a couple of defenders, he popped the ball to Thomas Gormley who crashed over for his first try for the Tribesmen.
Although the Exiles continued in trying to establish a foothold, they continued to be stopped by resolute Galway defending while at the other end scrumhalf Ryan Guilfoyle scampered across the line for another score. However, with half-time approaching, the Exiles made a break before centre Chris Williams crossed for a try, leaving the half-time score 22-6 in favour of the Tribesmen.
Barry Walsh kicked a 40 metre penalty after the restart before rejuvenated Exiles capitalised on Kennerson's huge cross field kick, providing winger Columba Kelly with the opportunity to gather and score.
As both teams began to tire, young Galway substitute John Why scored a try for the Galway men for the second week running, pushing the score out to 30-10.There was just enough time for Matt Cherry to add a consolation try for the Exiles, Kennerson adding the two points to put the scores at 30-16.
