Jim Kavanagh’s Art School is starting a new term of classes from Monday next, September 6.
Jim Kavanagh has been teaching at his popular, well established, purpose-built art school for several years. He runs morning and evening classes, and students of all levels of ability are welcome, from beginners to third level standard. Drawing, painting, and various art techniques (as well as pen and ink, and lino cuts ) are taught to a high standard in small classes, as well as some art history chats. Materials are supplied to new joiners.
The emphasis is on having fun and relaxing, while at the same time learning new skills. There is strict adherence to Covid guidelines, with social distancing, masks, hand sanitisers, etc. Gift vouchers are also available for birthdays, Christmas, etc. Weekend workshops are held in the summer, as well as half day Arty Farty workshops for groups of eight, with Prosecco and nibbles included.
Places are limited for classes – see galwayartclasses.com or visit Facebook: Jim Kavanagh Galway Art Classes. The school is located 20 minutes north of the city via the Headford Road.
